October 2016: early morning yoga challenge

Let this week be your inspiration to a daily morning practice! On five consecutive mornings we meet up before work and duties for a full practice of Sampoorna Yoga. There’s no better way to start the day!

Join a Karma yoga class for charity “Kat zoekt thuis”

yoga-catsJoin Ambika for a new Karma yoga for charity class on Saturday 17 December at 10 AM at Sampoorna Yoga Brussels.

The donations will go to “Kat Zoekt Thuis” charity in Ghent: an organisation that offers a shelter to stray cats and kittens & finds them wonderful final homes. NGO “Kat Zoekt Thuis” do not get any subsidies, they survive thanks to adoption fees, donations and revenues from organizing events.

The class will be a 60 minute Sivananda style hatha class with Pranayama, Sun Salutations, asanas and relaxation and is suitable to all levels. To register please send an email to info@ambikayoga.eu before 10 December (22 places available).

Going vegetarian/ vegan workshop in Brussels

There are many prejudices and concerns about changing to a vegetarian or vegan diet: Will I get enough protein? Will I be hungry? Will I need supplements? How do I ensure that I get everything I need?

This workshop clarifies such issues and gives tips on a delicious, healthy way of living. Obviously there’ll be several vegan finger foods to try out :-).

New: Wednesday lunchtime Sivananda yoga class in Etterbeek

IMG_1832Ambika announces a brand new Sivananda yoga class on Wednesday at lunchtime in Etterbeek !

Ambika is joining forces with The Happy Body studio in Etterbeek. I’ll give a weekly 60 minute Sivananda hatha yoga class on Wednesdays, starting September 14, 2016.  The class starts at 1PM, doors open at 12:45PM.

If you are looking for the perfect way to break up your day: do yoga at lunchtime. You’ll feel reinvigorated and full of energy to tackle the rest of your day. Moreover, you’ll have your evening free for other activities.

SG - 2016-septembre-05-001-2-weboutEach class will follow the same flow: initial relaxation, Pranayama, sun salutations, several asanas and final relaxation. Beginners, intermediate & advanced students are welcome to join the class.

Please bring comfortable yoga clothes and if possible a small blanket or sweater for the relaxation. Mats are provided. There is a nearby Villo station and several bus stops.

The view on the Jubelpark/ Parc Cinquantenaire is included ;-).

Don’t eat a heavy meal at least 2 hours prior to coming to class. You can eat a banana or something similar up to an hour before class.
