Register for kids’ yoga classes season 2017/ 18

The next semester of children’s yoga is starting on 23 September 2017. There are three groups:

Saturdays 10:00-11:00 (in French): Age group: 4-7 – Teacher: Isabel

Saturdays 11:30-12:30 (in French):  Age group: 8-11 – Teacher: Isabel

Sundays 10:30-11:30 (in Dutch):  Age group: 4-7 – Teacher: Lien

Price: 130 euro/ semester (September-January, 14 classes)

There’s no kids’ yoga during school holidays.

There are parallel (separate) yoga classes for adults. The accompanying adult subscription is valid for yoga classes at the same time as the kids’ yoga classes, price 130 euro/ semester.

PS: I’ll teach the Saturday classes for adults 🙂

2017 summer yoga classes teaching schedule

Sampoorna_Yoga_Studio_ReceptionThis Summer I won’t teach many public classes due to other obligations & holidays.
The EU council classes are cancelled & start again on 7 September.

Sampoorna Yoga Studio will stay open for most of the summer.  The studio will only close on 21-31 August, for renovation works. In the summer you can practice at reduced rates:

  • Summer Pass: Unlimited yoga in July-August for 108€
  • Student rate for everyone, on all passes purchased in July-August (regular validity, such as 4 months for 1-class passes) . 

As always in the holiday season, teachers will vary. The class schedule is constantly updated online, and you can check who is teaching here.

At the Sampoorna Yoga Studio I’ll be teaching 90 minute hatha yoga (Sivananda style) classes on these dates:

JULY

  • 1/7 at 10:30
  • 18/7 at 19:00
  • 29/7 at 10:30

AUGUST

  • 3/8 at 19:00
  • 10/8 at 19:00
  • 12/8 at 10:30
  • 17/8 at 19:00

I’m very lucky as will be able to go to the Sivananda ashram in Orléans next weekend. This is also where my Sivananda journey started some 6 years ago. I’m treating myself to a long weekend reconnection time with myself, yoga classes, fabulous vegan food, nature, satsangs and lectures by swamis.

The Sivananda organisation has founded 9 Sivananda Ashrams around the world – in Canada, India, France, Austria, Bahamas, and the United States where you can enjoy yoga holidays (short or longer time), do your TTC, ATTC, or themed (certification) courses, as well as become a Karma Yogi.

A yoga vacation consists of more or less the same schedule as the TTC, albeit less intense: morning satsang; morning yoga (asana) class; breakfast; karma yoga; lecture; free time; afternoon yoga class; dinner; evening satsang. It’s a wonderful way to reconnect to yourself, to relax and stay healthy.

Yoga video tutorial for shoulderstand & plough poses

After the headstand comes Sarvangasana (Sanskrit: सर्वाङ्गासन), the Sanskrit name for the shoulderstand, comes from the word “sarva”, meaning whole. This asana strengthens your entire body; it gives many of the benefits of the Headstand, but here the circulation is directed to your thyroid gland instead of the head and it gives a great stimulation to your metabolism. It’s an inverted pose, with your body resting on your shoulders.

Join my yoga classes in January 2017

I know many people make resolutions for the new year, personally I like to reflect on my favorite people and moments of the year before. I promised myself to take good care of my loved ones and myself, in which ever form that may be.

Yoga can definitely be part of taking good care of oneself. So if you want to simply try a class, renew your practice or continue your ongoing practice, feel free to join one of my classes in this first cold month of the year.
